I'm currently on my OPT, I got my offer letter through a consultancy. However I got my EAD card late, and decided I wanted to do my master's instead. So I haven't actually worked with the consultancy and I do not have my SSN. Now, I have got accepted into a master's program at another university, and the program requires a mandatory international trip. So I have to go back to my home country to renew my visa. I'm afraid I might get rejected for my visa because I have not worked and don't have my SSN. Has anybody else been in a similar situation or have got their visa renewed after OPT?
