Applying for F1 visa while H1B petition pending

Let me begin by saying that this forum is a great resource for anyone applying for US visa. This forum immensely helped me the first time I was appearing for for an L1B visa interview.

Here is my profile:
2011 to 2014 Worked in India in the Analytics Industry
2014 to 2017 Worked in the US on an L1B visa for the same employer

In Mar 2017, I decided that I have to either move to another job, or pursue a Masters course to gain additional skills.

Current status
- A new employer has now filed for my H1B and has been accepted in lottery
- I also received an admit for a program of my choice MS in Applied Analytics in Columbia University.
- I'm now applying for an F1 visa

Questions that I currently have
1. Will having an existing H1B petition pending affect the F1 visa application?
2. Will my prior stay in L1B until a few months ago affect the current F1 visa application?
3. To prove non-immigrant intent, will it suffice if I show my parents' property in India? I have also returned back to India after my previous project got over despite having valid L1B status for a further 2 years.

3) Yes. Treat your F1 application as a fresh application. Your previous visa statuses should have no implication for your current one, since neither of those was an immigrant visa or a visa type with a solely immigrant intent.

Thank you scientist2016. I have decited to wait until I receive a decision regarding the H1B petition. I'm getting the admit deferred to spring.

3) Yes. Treat your F1 application as a fresh application. Your previous visa statuses should have no implication for your current one, since neither of those was an immigrant visa or a visa type with a solely immigrant intent.
