  • Sponsoring a student

    Hello,
Me and my husband are US citizens and we would like to sponsor my younger 15 year old sister to study high school here in the US.
Can we do that? or sponsoring is only limited to parents?
Please I will really appreciate any clarification about this issue.
    Thanks.

    Never seen such idea.

Wait till she graduates from School and she can apply for F1 to attend college here.

my aunt also sponsored me for college in the US. i don't know what the procedures are for someone outside the US wanting to study high school in the US.i think you should go to the high school you are thinking about her attending, and talk to them about an admission letter. the school also has to give you an I-20..i believe it is issued by the gov. there is also a SEVIS fee of $200 you have to read into and your affidavit of support...and then just the embassy interview she has to go to in her country.
i have friends that are international and have finished high school here, i just don't know that much about it.
      hope it helped

      good luck!
