F-1 Visa while on OPT

Hi

My F-1 visa is going to expire in Aug 2012. I am on OPT now which is valid upto June 2013. Is it possible to extend F-1 visa till the I-20 date / OPT end date?

Whenever you leave the US apply for Visa like before. Remember that denial is possible because of immigrant intent.
If you plan to return before your Visa expires, you don't have to renew it.

Thanks, May be the chances of being issued an extension of F-1 based on OPT are grim. because I already completed my studies. Do you have any idea?

Yes, slightly more risky being on OPT. Some people get it some don't.
