F1 Rentry

I am having a valid F1 visa (expires feb 2013). I have completed my masters in 2010. worked on OPT for one year(oct 2010-oct 2011) and went back to india in oct 2011. I wish to do an MBA now, and have got a I20 for 2012 from a new university. I was told that i need not apply for a new visa again as i have a valid F1 visa. However I am confused about the 5 month clause on F1 visa. It says that if a student has taken a leave of absences of more than 5 months then the F1 visa is automatically cancelled. However is this applicable in my case? I dint not take a leave of absence as I was not a student anymore.I went back to my home country and now have realized that having a Management degree will ensure better career prospects post my Masters.

So can I not travel on same F1 visa? Any help or advice is suggested and appreciated.
