You need to collect your luggage, go through customs and immigration, and then re-check your luggage for your connecting flight. This is less common for low-budget airlines that typically operate within the Schengen Area (group of European countries with free movement).

Passengers are generally permitted to transfer to low-budget airlines at specific European airports, but the regulations and procedures can vary depending on the airport and the specific circumstances of your transfer.

In most cases, if you have booked separate tickets for your connecting flights, you'll need to collect your luggage and check in again for your next flight, following the check-in procedures of the low-budget airline.

However, some airports may have facilities or agreements in place to facilitate smoother transfers between airlines, especially if they are part of the same alliance or have interline agreements.

It's always a good idea to check with the airport's website or contact their customer service for specific information about transfer procedures and any requirements or regulations you need to be aware of before your journey.

Yes, low-budget airlines frequently utilize certain European airports, often choosing secondary or regional airports over major hubs to reduce costs. These airports generally have lower landing fees and other charges, which contributes to lower ticket prices for passengers. While some low-cost carriers may serve major airports, they often do so at less popular times (early mornings or late nights) to take advantage of lower slot fees. Cuyahoga County OH Auditor

Yes — but expect differences. Many European airports allow transfers to/from low-cost carriers, yet you’ll often need to treat them like separate trips unless the airlines have an interline/through-check agreement.
