urgent - please suggest
I would appreciate if somebody can help me out.
I have to transit through US to another country (say X) from India. I will stay in X country for 2 1/2 months and then again transit through US to reach India. My transit stay in the airport (both times is around 20 hours) before the next flight. It would be tedious to stay in the airport that long. So...
1. Should I apply for C1 visa or B2 visa?
2. C1 visa (according to US gov website) says that one can stay until 29 days with that visa. Is that correct? I don't need that long but just 20 hours in a hotel.
3. Incase, based upon suggestions given here, if I choose the wrong visa while applying, will I be switched to correct visa at consular office or I will be denied and have to reapply again?
