Transit Visa - Fly from US to India
Hi,
Below is the scenario and I need your assistance on this.
I am currently on H1B visa and my wife has a H4 visa. This is our first H class visa and we need to travel to India for our respective stampings. I and my wife had entered USA on F1 and F2 visa. I studied here and then got a job in USA. My employer applied for H1 and H4 visa for myself and my wife.
Although I am not a student anymore but my F1 visa expiration date is till Dec 16, 2012 and my wife's F2 visa has an expiration of Dec 31, 2011 (already expired). I am planning to go to India in Nov 2012 and my wife is planning to go to India in Aug 2012.
My question here is that if we fly from US via Europe, Canada or Middle East do we need transit visas for our travel? What would you suggest would be our best bet to travel to India. The internet forums are confusing me on this. I just want to be sure before I set my travel plans. I dont want my wife and myself to face any difficulties while travelling (we also have a 4 month old but he is a US citizen).
