90 day limit

Hi guys, probably a bit of a silly question.

I am in a long distance relationship and have just returned from 2 weeks in the United States. However, I want to go back for summer and also New Years, again. My boyfriend still lives at home with his family. Basically, you get 90 days on the ESTA. Is this 90 days per year, or is it 90 days for the 2 years that the ESTA is valid? I have googled this but can't make much sense of it.

Ok, you must be confused with the time limit.

So the 90 days is for your VWP stay.

But your ESTA is valid for 2 years. So, you can go back to the USA anytime you want within the 90 days limit.
