I94 issue-PLEASE HELP

Hi!!!!Everyone
I have a 10 year multiple entry to the US,I have got a stay for 3months according to my I94.Must I return to INDIA(my home country)ONLY or can I go to any other country such as Canada or Mexico upon leaving the US?
I would like to reenter the US from one of these countries.Also does anybody know if entering Mexico or Canada is easy in termS of getting a VISA.Please enlighten me and everyone else .Tahnk you very much

The laws have changed after 9/11.
Previously you could enter canada/mexico and reenter US with an
unexpired I-94 even if your US visa had expired.

Now, you can only re-enter US with a valid visa.

If you are going to canada/mexico for H-1/F-1 visa stamping, think carefully.
If your visa is refused , they may even cancel your existing 10 yr visitor visa
and you will have to go back to India.

What I am planning on doing is applying for a"temporary resident VISA"to Canada,and leave the USA at the time of expiry of my I94.....since I have a 10yrmultiple my VISA will be valid and I can come back to the US with a fresh I94?is this possible?

All I want is a longer period of stay.I want a fresh I94
I want to be able to go to Canada or Mexico only to reenter the US

Depending on the purpose you gave at entry when you got your 3 mo stay; when you reenter US from canada now, the purpose that you will state must justify a reentry so soon.

if u have multientry, why dont u go to india, it will be no problem for u for coming from india. i guess so. u can convert ur visa status in india only. many people are doing like so.
