The requirement is not to have a border.Originally posted by priyankaHi has anyone ever had problems with the photo taken for the forms. My parents have got a photo taken but it has a hairline black border . Will that be fine or do we need to take new ones. The background is white.

If it is just a hairline border, you can try cutting the borders with a very sharp scissor or a paper cutter, using a steady hand, (check for the sharpness by cutting a paper)
after the pictures are cut, see if the size is still in the acceptable range,
if you are not satisifed, it would a good idea to go for new pictures.
I would recommend going to a photographer who has a in-house printing facility with them like a photo lab or manual photo printing facility, you can then specify the exact requirement of the photograph, and he would be comfortable in printing pics to your specs.
I hope this helps
P.S. I forgot to mention that you can have the last once reprinted as well, if you or the photographer is still having it's negative or a digital image saved.Last edited by sonal19; 07-26-2005, 08:51 AM.
