Guidance Required on an urgent basis

I was scheduled to have my visa fingerprinting today and the visa interview tomorrow. However, unfortunately the documents sent by my sister, who is sponsoring me have not yet reached here. Since it is already too late to cancel the interview,I am considering skipping both the appointments and to schedule a fresh one after paying up the visa registration fees again. Would this be the right course of action? Kindly advise me as soon as possible. Thanks.
