  • Need some help about sister and in-laws visa

    Hi,
I am planning to call my parents (including sister) and then my in-laws to US. I had a couple of questions -
    1) My sister works in a school. She's paid her salary in cash so no salary slips and no tax filings too.
Would a letter from the school principal stating her employment and salary suffice for the stamping?

    2) My in-laws would be sponsoring their own trip. So, would they need any kind of letter (invite, consulate or employment) from my or my bank statements?

    Thanks for your help.

    1. They usually do not ask for any documents, they just rely on what you answer verbally.
Just in case they do, the letter should work.

    2. your spouse should send them the invite along with the copy of visa and proof that they are the actual parents.
    No income docs required.

PS. If your sis is not married and there are no other siblings in India, it may become difficult for her to get the visa,
as they are leaving no family ties behind.
