Father's old expired passport not available

My Parents will be appearing for B2 visa interview next week. My Dad does not have his old expired passport with him. He used this expired passport to travel to some European countries in 1992 for some official trip. He has not traveled out of India after that.

I wanted to know if it would be problem for him in the Visa interview if he does not carry his old passport and also would it be a problem when he travels to US without his old passport.

That is no problem. It is not required.

Old passport is required only if there is valid visa in it that he needs to use.
