Electronic filing of DS 156

Hi,
Can I electronically file DS 156 form for my mom who is having her interview in sep 2005(she is in india,i am here in US)What are the advantages or disadvatages of filing online? can anybody share their experience of filing online with me.

Due to the volume of cases they see every day, they do not usually keep track of the electronic filing of DS 156. It is better to carry a physical form, duly filled.

your question is little murky.

It is highly advisable to fill your 156 on the web and printing it along with the bar code. It makes the consular officer job easy and thus helps in focussing on decission making factors.

I cannot say if you fill, your application will be accepted for visa. whatever may be the outcome, processing is very easy.

You can FILL the DS 156 electronically and take a print-out of it. But if you are to FILE it electronically, it is better to take a physical copy during the interview.
