Can i be invited by a US citizen while i sponsor myself ?

I am 33 years old single Nigerian, I got a son of 10years old, i have enough financial confidence to sponsor myself on a Visitor visa. I have a female friend that i met online for over 2 years and she really want me to come for visit and ready to provide me with all necessary documents that may required from her side but am also capable of sponsoring myself . can she send me an invitation letter and what other documents would i need from her since am sponsoring myself and we have not been able to meet with each other before and she is has separated from her marriage for over 4 years and got 2 daughters . Kindly help me out on how to go about this please

Sponsorship aside, the purpose of visit is flawed for a visitor visa.

The reason; likelihood that you will get married and won't come back.

You could apply for a pleasure visit, without a mention of her.
