  • Sponsoring from company for B2 visa

    My parents, my brother and myself are applying for b2 visa. My sister lives in USA along with my bro in law who is on h1b visa.
    we are showing that our company will sponsor our trip in which we are directors except my bro.
    What are the documents that I am required to carry regarding the company. Also in the sponsor letter should I mention any amount.

    What questions can be asked from me? I am single and a CA, am working in my company since jan 2011 and have an annual income of 5 Lakhs.

    Most important;
    They will ask each of you your income. This quesion is a decision maker.

    Reason; it tells the officer TWO things; 1)your financial ties to India and 2) your funding capacity for the trip.

    5L/yr is too low . Plus you are single, so you are very likely to be denied.

    Company sponosring does not mean anything here since it is your company.
    It is your personal income that matters.

    What does your brother do ? Is he single and what is his income?
    What is your parents' income from the company?

      My brother is 22, single and doing CA. He is an article in Price Waterhouse and gets a monthly stipend of Rs 11000/-. My dad's income is 12 Lakhs p.a. and my mother's 3.6 lakhs p.a.
      We have investments in shares, ppf, and 3 properties in India.

        Like I said, they mainly focus on your work and income.
        Property, stocks, savings details are not looked at.

        I'd recommend both of you bros applying in more favorable circumstances
        ( better paying job, business purpose rather than visitor)

        The bottom line is;

        your parents have a very good chance if they apply alone. Reason;
        they have a good 15L combined family income and 2 of you staying behind act
        as strong family ties.

            Great. Congratulations.

            I am sure they must have asked some questions.

            It would be nice if you can post the interivew for the benefit of others.

              As we were 4 people appearing for the interview, VO asked my dad to explain how we all are related. My sister is in US so what she does there. What her husband does. As we have previously visited UK she asked us about other countries that we have visited.
              Thats it. Hope this helps.
