B1/B2 status upon acquiring new nationality(passport)

Hi,
I hold a valid B1/B2 visa on my Indian passport.
I would like to know as to what status will be of my B1/B2 visa upon me surrendering my Indian passport. Will I be able to transfer my B1/B2 visa on my British passport for the remainder term?

NO. Your B1/B2 goes with your passport.
There is no provision of such visa transfers.

If India allowed dual nationality, you could hold both passports and you could travel on the B1/B2 visa.
But India does not , so you could travel on a visa waiver when you have a UK passport. If you wish to staylonger, you will have to apply fresh for a B1/B2.

Keep a copy of your Indian passport pages with visa and airport stamps. That can show your travel history on your US visa.

I have read about the visa waiver program. But I was just curious as to what happens in such a scenario. None of the FAQ's, on any country's immigration related official website's mention about something like this. Thank you very much.

I am not an immigration lawyer but that is what my common sense tells me will happen.

It is an interesting situation. And I tried to look it up over US govt websites but did not find a laid down law or rule regarding this.

You can call/email the US embassy in London and they will give you an authentic answer.

British citizens don't need a visitor Visa for the US anyway.

True British citizens need no visa but that is only for a 90 day stay. A visa allows a stay of upto 6 months, so I understand the op's hope he or she can use that.
