  • Interview Waiver - Drop Box

    Hello,

Anyone have any experience with Drop Box for 80+years individual.

Here is the situation. My Uncle is a US citizen and his son is getting engaged. They would really like for my grandmother to attend the engagement.

My grandmother held a US visitor visa from 2001 - 2011. During that time she visited US once in 2008 and returned within 5 months (within her permitted visa duration - which was 6 months).

Now we are trying to apply for her visa through the dropbox facility and I was curious to know if I should be attaching any supporting documents with her application - like

    1) an invitation letter from my Uncle (but there is no formal invitation card for the ceremony)

    2) Do I need to attach a I-134 form - from my uncle as he would be sponsoring the trip.

Please advise. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank You!!

    It won't hurt.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.

Is your grandmother living with your dad in India?
Does your dad have good income to show funding for the trip? (1L /mo +)
IF yes, you should do that rather than asking for an I-134 from your uncle?
IN that case, your dad will have to send his income proof with the application.

If this is not possible, then ask for an I-134 from your uncle and include an invitation.
