Visa interview 2 days before intended date of travel??

Is it ok to appear for visa interview 2 days before intended date of travel? On my ds-160 i have filled dates of travel as 31.5.2013- 10.6.2013. Available interview date is on 28/5/2013 or 29/5/2013??

I am not sure what country you are from and how long it takes to get the passport back after your interview.

In many countries, it takes much longer than two days to get your passport back.
