I intend to visit US for a 3 week time period. The purpose is to catch up with friends and tourism. I am 26, unmarried male. I don`t have any lands/houses in my name. I am in a dilemma to show self-sponsorship or not. My annual income is 3 lpa. My friends here or in the US are ready to sponsor me. Suggest the best way to increase my chances of getting a b2 visa?

You seem to have very low chances of securing a visa on the basis of facts that you have mentioned. VOs will not understand your reason for spending all your yearly income for a 3 Week trip. For young people first thing they look is source of income, how much, then family reasons for coming back. You seeking sponsorship from your friends will caste a negative outlook, wheras your income is on the low side for self sponsoring too. I suggest you wait till you get a decent job or till your employer is willing to send you.Originally posted by greybosco View PostI intend to visit US for a 3 week time period. I would dearly like to go this summer. My friend has already bought round-trip tickets for me(refundable). Can I put in my job as a tie to return to India and my american friends invitation along with sponsorship letter?Originally posted by raghvi View PostYou seem to have very low chances of securing a visa on the basis of facts that you have mentioned. raghvi is correct.
Chances of denial are 99%, I am sorry.
They are just going to ask you two questions, what you do and how much you earn and they will deny.
* Young * single * low earning ( 3L is too low) in their eyes you are not likely to return because you do not have a wife, kids
or a well paying job to bring you back.
Your friend's sponsorship goes against you, not in your favour.
To get a US visitor visa you must first get well settled in a very wellpaying job /business.
