  • Declined a B2 visa (>2 years ago), can i apply for an ESTA now?

My family all applied for a B2 visa over 2 years ago while in London.

It was rejected and the consulate felt we were intending on going to work over in the USA during our stay.

It has now been over two years since it was rejected and we want to take the little one to all the amusement parks throughout the US.

Can we apply for a an ESTA, or will this be rejected instantly as we've already been rejected in the past?

If we need to apply in person at the consulate, do you have any tips/concerns that we should be aware. We were genuine travellers last time when we applied (which is extremely frustrating) and don't want to mess it up again.

    Regards

"If you have previously been denied (refused) a visa, or have been found ineligible for a U.S. visa,
you do not meet VWP requirements and therefore, cannot travel on the VWP. (ESTA)"

Could you please post your circumstances;your job/income situation in UK ?
And why you went for the visa instead of using the visa waiver program VWP/ESTA?
Also post your last visa interview whatever you can recall.
