    hi,
I have B1/B2 visa issued for for 1 year in Hyderabad. it will expire this october. I already visited USA , and i stayed for 5 months (i-94 was for 6 months). I would like to visit USA again in the month of August and stay till december .I would like to know my options as the visa gets expired in October , how many months i-94 may be granted to me on next visit? Can i stay beyond my visa expiry date, if i94 date is beyond visa date.

Or should i apply for a new visa? My visit to USA is to write exam and try for admissions(i will be going back for F-1 stamping ones i get admission). Can i apply for new B1/B2 visa from Canada?

If you make two visits on a one year visa and stay long periods like 5 months each, it will affect grant of a new B1/B2 (after this one
expires ) . And even an F1 because they look at your history of past visits to US . And long stays and frequent visits are frequently a reason for denial.( immigrant intent).

*Please post some personal background ( student /worker/age/income) for better advice.
*What purpose did you mention when you got your one yr visa?
*When did you return from your last visit to US?
*What was your purpose of visit ; why did you stay 5 months?
*Do you have a canadian visa?
