I am currently in the process of re-applying for a USA Tourist Visa as i want to travel later this year, but am concerned with a couple of questions as the last i was not approved going back.
This is not my first time there as so i know what the procedure is like and how they are.
My concern is, if it is possible you can help me - As mentioned i have been in the USA - was studying there thus had a F1 ( graduated etc) and then got a work permit as i was sponsored. The place i was working had to shut down so had the 1 month to either look for another job or come back to my home country ( KENYA). Due to the unemployment rate in the USA, i decided to go back to University, change my carrier, applied for my F1, which i got approved. I had to come back to my home country to get the F1 stamped in my passport. When i went for my interview, they denied giving me my Visa and told me you are too old to go back to school. I did not argue with them and tried one more time for an interview showing them as much as proof that i will come back to Kenya. THIS ALL HAPPENED IN 2007.
I decided to start my life again, get a job and will try and apply to go to the USA after a few years.
Today - i am preparing myself what type of questions they will ask me - apart from the common ones you have on your site,is it possible you can help me out here regarding these questions and my answer?
1. Last time you applied you were going back to school. What's changed? - Having a interest in the tourism industry, i was working for a Tour Company in Nairobi as a Contracts Executive / Marketing Assistant from 2008 - 2011 where i gained more experience, and have now started my own business in the same industry speaking to new clients in Kenya, and learning something new everyday.
2. Why were you denied the Visa in 2007? Because i was told i was too old to go back to school
Can you help me here in answering these 2 questions correctly?
Thank you
