visa for a friend

i am interested in information about inviting a friend to visit me from the czech republic. This website is not really easy to navigate so is there any information that anyone could give me on the requirements that need to be met and the procedure for obtaining a visa for my friend to visit?

Your status in the US ( citizen, permanent resident, etc)
and your occupation.
Also please mention your friend's age, marital status, occupation,
any previous visa applications, any members of his family in the US?

i am a citizen of the US and i am a medical student with some part time jobs.

my friend is 25, single and is a manager for a telecommunications company in prague.

he has never been to the US and has no family here. he is actually a russian citizen and has working visa in czech republic.

The most important issue that the US consulars interviewing for a
visitor visa look for is non-immigrant intent( that is assured return to home
country after the US visit).
In the case of a young, single man coming to visit his US citizen girl friend in US,there is a high level of suspicion that he will not come back to his home
country, so the visa will most certainly be denied.

Option; If his purpose of visit is different, like some temporary business in US related to his job , without a mention of you to the consular, he will have a better chance at the visa.
