  • documents from my sister

    Dear All,

I am sponsoring my mother for her visitors visa and she has her interview in september. I have my younger sister and brother-in-law living here in states. What kind of supporting documents should they send to my mother. As a sponsorer I am sending all the documets like I-134, bank statements, emplyoment letter, W2's and etc. What kind of documents do my sister and jijju need to send?

In addition to the above, is it advised to state that my sister lives here in US with her hubby, keeping in mind this might hinder any chances of my mother getting her visa in any ways? As the interviewing officer might think my sister is pregnant and my mother want come down to help her or its good not to mention that she lives here in US.. im confused with this.. any suggestions..

    Thanks a lot
    Arun

      Thanks for your reply IMMIHELP...

      This link says
"If the parents have more than one child in US, it is advisable to carry relevant documents of all children including the sponsor child".
What documents are they implying? All the documents which ever the sponsor has send or only a few, if so what are they or where can I find this information.

      Thanks a lot,
      Arun

Your sister and BIL need not send any documents since you are the one
sponsoring. But your parents can carry copies of yours and their visa status
        in US.

They cannot hide their presence in the US. On DS 156 there is a question
asking about all immediate relatives present in the US.

And be advised, that if they have all their children in the US,
it may act against them getting a visitor visa.
