Parents D160 and visa appointment

Hi,
My parents will be applying for visitor visa. Do they have to fill one DS160 form for both of them, or one each?
How do they book an appointment together?

You need to fill separate DS-160 form for your father and mother. While filling your fathers form, there is a section where you will have to fill your mothers detail as someone who will be travelling with your father and vice-versa when you fill one more DS-160 form for your mother.

However, you need to create only one account for scheduling their appointment


You can create this in your fathers name and later on there is a section where you can mention your mothers details - as a dependent travelling with your father. From this account you can schedule common interview for your parents.

I got my h1 approved this year for 2014.
Should I sponsor my parents visa or they should self sponsor their visa ? which option is better ?
If i do sponsor how much balance i need to show in my account and also what types of invitation letter I would require.
Can someone provide me invitation letter for self sponsered visa and H1 sponsored visa invitation letter.

Who is actually going to pay for their trip? Answer accordingly. That person(s) must have sufficient money to cover their expenses. There is no fixed amount but generally $5000/person should be enough.

My parents are actually paying for their trip.if they are paying than what kind of invitation letter I would need to send and just in case if I decide to pay for their expenses than what kind of invitation letter I woukd require and how many lettrrs I have to send ?
