Minor difference in my mothers name in my passport.

Hi,
I am a green card holder. Due to some mistake the name of my mother in her passport is slightly different than her name in my passport. I want to sponsor her for visitors visa. I want to know if this is going to be a major issue. Is there some remedial step I can take.

If there is a mistake in her passport then tell her to get it rectified and then you can sponsor her visa. It will take upto 2 weeks for her to get a new passport.
