This story is so complicated.i don't even know where to start...
my father is a 58 years old and his been trying to visit me for the past 4 years. im a US citizen (became a US citizen 1 year and a half ago) and we tried almost everything.i live in Chicago Illinois. i really need some help!!!!
This is how everything started...my mom applied approx 7 years ago for a visitor visa and she got it right away with no problem(10 years).my dad applied 1-2 years later and the craziness begins.
My dad lives in Romania ,he has 2 apartments ,one house and a car that is payed in full all under his name except the car ,witch is under my moms company.he had his own business that he had to shut down due to the economy but still works at my moms company as a manager.
---At his first attempt he presented the documentation that he thought was right and they asked him if my mom came back from US (she came to visit for 5 weeks a year before my dad went to the embassy) .his answer was yes and they asked him if he has her passport.he didn't .they told him to come back with that too and with the balance from his business (his company was still active at that time) (214b)
---second time:he had my mom passport , and now i guess they took him to a room and told him that they cant find his business with the registration number(every company is registered at city hall or something similar to that-dont know much about that ).
My dad said that is impossible because the company was active since 1997 and on top of everything one of the consul accused my dad of having **** paper work. telling my dad to repeat that number (registration number) over and over again to see is he is going to make a mistake. The funny part of this thing is that my dads company worked with embassy in the past..(my dad was making handcraft wood dolls dressed in national costume , Dracula,etc...Romanian folklore ) he even had a bill(receipt) between his company and them.(they ordered those dolls to display them in the conference room)He didnt even had the chance to present that.he was in shock because he was doubting everything.(214b)
---third time he presented papers that the business exists (official letter from city hall) and they said that the business is on red(not making enough money).(214b)
---4 time he went as a manager at my moms business and this time they said the same thing ( the company ,my moms now,is not making enough money)
--- 5 time all they said was: yes i see all the paper work but im going to respect my colleges decision from before (214b)
I dont even know what to do anymore....i can do the family reunion because im a US citizen but he doesn't want to stay here for 6 months.he only wants to come here for a month tops and see where i live and how life in US is.if he comes and doesnt stay 6 months he will loose his green card and then its over)
Im the only daughter and Ive been in US for 9 years. im trying to go visit them every year but its not the same.my mom does not want to come alone anymore.
dont know what to do....HELP .....please.any suggestions
PS: u guys think that a letter to the senator or congressman might help?
