CO: what is your purpose of visit
me: to do a course in Personality development and then internship which will be unpaid

    Co: duration of stay
    me: sept 19 - jan 31 2014

co: are you married any children
    me: divorced, no children

Co: where are you working and my salary
    me: XYZ and abc p.a.

co: who will be sponsoring your internship
me: myself from my past savings

Immediately after this he rejected and gave me the letter which states rejected due to 214b. He did not ask for any supporting documents so what should I have done differently as my intention was to learn and then start my own business here

      salary - 81/2 lakhs p.a.
they didnot ask any other question. one other question which they had asked and I missed out mentioning was "if i had travelled before" to which my reply was
      "no"

        Dear Mint,

I am facing my own visa issues but i am trying to share what i feel about this.

        a) You are single (now), so there are possible chances of you not returning.
        b) Point A gets strengthened because you have never travelled to the US before.
        c) Salary amount is fine, but they probably viewed you as eligible bachelor.

        I hope this helps.

        Cheers,

These are my personal thoughts. I am not a professional.

        Wishing you luck.

no family ties to India ( spouse/kids), 4 months away from job , middle income group, going on your own will -- the whole picture
gives the sense that you may not return.

what could be different --example- If your employer was sending you ( also paying for you) , it could be positive.

            Thanks for the reply

I have no intention of settling there so what can I do for reapplying. My family is here and I very much want to be in India.

Agreed you do not have an intent ,but they won't believe you.
If they started believing everybody ,there won't be any denials.

They look at your life situation and there is no point applying till your situation has changed.

For example -- you leave better ties behind like a spouse after you get married or a well paying job like
1L/month, you travel around to other countries, you would have much better chance.

In your current situation , there are too many negatives.
