US Tourist visa details

Hi Immihelp memebers,

I am married,In my passport spouse name included. but my wife don't have passport right now.

Due to some reasons,I will be planning to travel alone to USA for tourism purpose (B2 Visa) . whether it is possible to get the tourist visa.?

please explain any one can answer the above query. based on that i will plan my visa schedule...

Your wife not travelling with you will not have a negative impact on your application outcome.

It is alright to apply individually, even when married.

I am sure they will ask you why you are traveling for a tourist purpose without your wife ?

If it was a business trip, it would be ok but for a pleasure trip, one is expected to go with family.

And there are other factors like your income , work stability, and history of travel abroad.

Thank you for your help. Please help me here. If someone is travelling alone (being married), does it make the case negative?

I am sorry if my response was incorrect. I got the B1/B2 visa as a single, and i felt it was alright to apply alone even while married. I am sorry.

They will just ask you about the purpose of the visit and your financial status. Since your wife is not coming with you so there is no need to question about her.
Once they see your passport they came to know about your maritial status. So no issues in your side. Go head and enjoy the trip alone
