  • B2 visa help | Applying 2nd time

    Hi all

I applied for B2 visa last year ( along with my mother ) to visit my relatives my mother got the visa but my visa was rejected. I was working in an IT company at that time. Currently I am pursuing my MBA ( 2 year course) in India and will graduate in 2014. I am planning to visit US in my term break in november. But this time I will be going alone to the interview. I also have a education loan against me.

Do you guys think that there is a change in situation to apply for visa again and if pursuing studies and having a education loan is a case of strong ties .

Please help guys I am confused if I should apply now or later.

    Hello, Ninja.

I am sorry, but there is no straight answer to getting a visa application approved. Nobody can predict the visa interview.

I read in one of the threads, that marriage is one development which the consulate views as a change, but then even married women have been denied visas. So, no one can really predict.

I am sorry, if this does not help.

Personal Opinion. I am not a professional on Immigration.

    Wishing you luck.

    Cheers,

@sachin80 Think before you hit reply! You replies are demeaning and dripping with malign. How in the world do you know that ninja123 is a potential immigrant? Do you know ninja123 personally? Or are you omnipotent? Stop dropping your attitude at every visa rejection post. Even the INA says that the consular officer has to *assume* that the applicant is a potential immigrant. Stress on the word *assume*. Unless the applicant says that s/he wants to immigrate it is an assumption and if the consular officer denies it then it is just their opinion. Nothing is proven, hence people can reapply.

Did you mean this? Any applicant is always assumed to be a potential immigrant by the consular officer and s/he has to deny the visa based on this assumption unless proven otherwise. And, the onus to prove that one is not an immigrant lies on the applicant. If yes then write your thoughts as such and stop falsely accusing people.
This is my opinion and not legal advice. Please consult an attorney before making any decisions.
