  • b2 visa query

    Hi All,

i am planning to apply for B2 visa.My wife is in us on L1b visa. her return tickets are also finalized. She will be coming back on 2 -Feb.

    I have following questions.

    1. As i am eligible for L2 visa, will that create any problem to my application.
    2. I have mentioned a tentative date of arrival? do i have to travel on that date itself?
    3. What documents do i need?

    Thanks in advance

I assume you do not wish to live there with her till feb, you only wish to visit her. T
That is why you are applying for a B2 rather than an L2.

If that is the case, it is perfectly fine. Take her passport and visa copies showing her US entry stamp with you . Take your
income and employment proofs( salary slip/tax returns/leave letter) .
Usually they base their decision on the details you filled out on your DS 160 form
and some questions they will ask you. Documents have secondary importance.

No you do not need to travel exactly on the tentative dates you wrote on the form.

The fact that you're eligible for an L2 visa, but are choosing to apply for a B2 visa, will give your case some strength. With proof of your job and other ties to India at this time, chances are you'll easily get a B2 visa, likely valid for 10 years.

I had given 3 weeks of leave in my DS160 form. Now i am able to get 1 week extra leave.. So will that be a problem?
