Regarding employment verification and bank statement on account

Hi,
I am preparing the sponsor documents for my parents.
Got some questions on bank account and employment verification documents.

Is it mandatory that the employment verification letter be addressed to the
US consulate general ?

What should the bank account verification letter contain?
Bank representative says they can provide:
1) current balance
2)average balance till date
3)date of account opening.
Do we need the balance for past year and amount deposited for past year
as listed in the immihelp.com sponsor document webpage?

Should the bank account verification giving account details be addressed to the consulate general or can it be a general statement or certifying document?

1. Employment letter does not have to be addressed to anyone. However, if it is addressed to the consulate (some employers will not write 'To whomever it may concern'), it is not a problem either.

2. That much information would be enough also.
