Is divorce notice needed for a visitor visa application?

My friend who's working in UK is planning to visit me towards the end of this year. Her divorce was finalized in India few months back but she doesn't have the court order of the divorce with her right now. She's about to apply for visitor visa and was wondering if its mandatory to have the divorce certificate when applying? She's applying alone and has all the other documents to prove her intend to return to the UK. If anyone has had similar experiences in the past or know anyone who had, it'd be great to know how the process went.
