My parents were scheduled for an appointment at the Visa Application Center, both of them qualified for the Interview Waiver program. So they provided the passports, confirmation, DS 160 and everything else required at the VAC, were ten printed and they were asked to go back. We assumed that they would get their passports stamped and sent via bluedart. However after reaching their hometown, my father was called by the US Consulate and requested to appear for an interview. Curiously though it was only him who was requested for, not my mother. I have 2 questions.
1. Any idea what this interview might be for, since the interview waiver applies to them..? they as well as I are a little anxious.. to my knowledge all documentation was immaculate..
2. Since this is an unscheduled appointment at the consulate, and my father doesnt have a scheduled appointment confirmation letter with him, how would he be admitted inside the consulate..?
I would deeply appreciate a quick response to this..
