Long term stay for elderly mother on B1/b2 visa

When I say long term I mean keeping her here for a few years .

Cohabitating partner clause.


According to this clause we can keep extending the B2 visa till the time sponsor of the visa does not apply for green card.
Now since I am applying for greencard, I can not sponsor her.

Your post is not clear;

Did your mother spend 6 months in US on a B2 sponsored by you and you got her stay extended by another 6 months?

If yes, then it does not make sense your brother sponsoring her when she has already got her stay extended.

And in reference to what procedure is this cohabitation clause?
