    Hi,
    I need a help regarding my second entry in US. My entry is some how need better explanation on POE , as I got change of status as student on my first entry in jun 2010, and I left US in Jun 2013. My all stay was legal as i was on Student Status. The only problem was before left USA i had my i539 application pending , but due to long waiting time i have decide to left USA to avoid any illegal stay in case of denial. After my arrival back home I sent withdrawal letter to USCIS which later approved and accepted my USCIS and they sent me acknowledgement letter for withdrawal acceptance. After spending almost 10 month back home , I want to visit US again as my visit visa is still valid till 2015. The reason of my planning to visit US is my family problem, due to my sister ( a legal residence) separation from husband put her in depression and she needs my moral support to get back on track of life. she want me to stay with her at least 6 month so get strength once again to move on in her life. She is my sister friend and very close to me in whole family , and fortunately from the family only me and my mom has visa to visit US.
    I would request you to please suggest me what i state at POE to tell them my problem , that why i want to visit , telling them that due to my sister relationship problem i want to visit is sold reason to convince or not.
    Please help me.
    thanks

    1.Please clarify; is the person you are visiting, your sister or your sister's friend? where is your sister?
    2. When you left the US you said you filed an I-539 which you later withdrew. What was it for ? Changing your student status?
    3.what do you do at home after returning from your US stay?

      Thanks for the reply, she is my elder sister , Filled I539 for M1 extension , and requested to grant me extension till july 1, i waited longer to aprove my i539 but meanwhile i graduated on May 21 , i decided to left US on jun 25 , because therewas no point to stay and wait for i539 approval . I sent withdrawal soon after i reached back home and USCIS accepted it in oct and sent me acknowledgement letter at my US home address. I have joined Govt. Job at my home country and currently working as Govt. Employee. After spending almost 10-11 months i want to visit US again for the circumstances i have already mentioned. Are telling this situation convincing at POE that i really want to spent time with my sister in her mentally stressful situation.

        you just say "visiting sister for 3-4 wks". No need to go into details of depression etc.

        ALso important;
        1. Take paper work for extension of M1 and withdrawal.
        2. Also take proof of your job and leave at home.
        3.Must carry a return ticket.

        Since you changed status from your original visitor visa to Student, stayed so long in US, even though legally and then applied for an extension;
        the POE officers can question you about your intention so go prepared with all the papers mentioned above.
