  • Visitor visa for mother-in-law & brother-in-law

    Hi

We are planning to bring my mother-in-law to US for 6 months, this is the first time we are about to apply visitor visa for her. To be noted she is a widow, also my hubby has one elder brother who is doing agriculture in India. So is it good to send both my mother-in-law as well as brother-in-law for visa interview? Or only my mother-in-law is good to go? We are very much confused under which situation, she have more chances to get the visa approved. Anyone please provide suggestions/ideas on this. Your response is highly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Generally speaking, widows find it difficult to get visitor visas but some are successful.
Having a son in India is a positive and if he is earning well , he can show self funding( better than sponsorship) for both of them to travel together for
a short duration of few weeks. Also, if they have a history of foreign travel , it will increase the chances.
