How to fix "Error:There was a missing or invalid parameter.." when uploading picture

Hi,

I've been trying to upload my picture online but the following error happens:

Error: There was a missing or invalid parameter in the request

How do I resolve this?

The same issue happened with the rest of us.
It seemed the photo uploaded won't go blur if you upload the one created from photo cropping tool
still cannot go to next:review though,, I've been having this problem since last saturday

Just talked to Consulate Visa Help Line here in Hong Kong. "We apologize for the problem, but it is out of our control as it is a problem in the US and they are on holiday, please just keep trying."

Rang up the Seoul consulate and they have the same story............it seems that as yesterday was a federal holiday in the US being President's day, nothing's been done to solve this.
The best we can hope for is when the US wakes up on Tuesday morning and hopefully this will get sorted out then.

Great to hear someone succceeded. Could you share what you did so the confirm photo page didn't stuck you and you successfully finished the following review and sign steps? Did you used the "retrieve an application" from the DS-160 beginning page, or keep refreshing the confirm photo page? Thanks.

Hi,
I realize this issue happened in Feb 2014, but I am getting the same error on April 24, 2019. Is the problem back?
I tried firefox(windows +linux), IE(windows), chrome(in linux and my smartphone), safari (on mac). I've uploaded 10 different photos, all 600x600 and under 240k.
I changed the jpeg quality and everything.
I still get this error "

Error: There was a missing or invalid parameter in the request"

and day 30 of my DS160 is tomorrow, so what happens if I can't upload the photo to complete my DS160 by day 30??
I called ustraveldocs support line and they are kind of helpless. They said i can save the ds160 without the photo, but I don't see that option.
They also said that they have no control over this site.
