i have a friend there in hong kong I'm going to visit her in april and she wanted to come back and visit us in USA and i would pay for the round trip airfare for her when she comes here. we filled out the ds-160 and have an appt in march at the consulate in hk where she works; and has family and 2 children in the Philippines so she would only visit us here in the usa. i have a kinda good job like 65k a year and she works in hk as a nanny.just wondering what what be needed to get her to visit i would pay for her stay and she would live here at the house with us..

you paying for the trip is not a positive but a negative. The reason is they look at the applicant's strong financial status at her country of residence
that will bring her back from the trip. If you are paying that proves she does not have the funds to do it herself.
Also her nanny job shows she may be looking for better prospects in US using the reason to visit a friend.
Visiting alone all the way to US without her family does not look like tourism and the officer is very likely to deny. I am sorry.
If she is eligible she may use the nanny J-1 visa to come to US . Otherwise getting a visitor visa in her situation will be very difficult. -

She's too old for that and also why on United States department for the consulate do they tell you to have financial supporting documents if you want to sponsor somebody I'm a little confusedComment
