  • Visitor Visa for Widowed Mother - Please help

My mother had interview on Sept 27th at Chennai consulate and was given Visitor visa for one month only which expires on Oct 26th. Due to some problems she could not travel immediately and is planning to land in USA on Oct 25th or 26th. Will the immigration officer creates any problems as she is coming on last day on one month visa. Generally how long they will give I-94 validity if it is one month Visa. Please help

    Thanks
    Ram

It is risky to land on the last couple of days. She may be in trouble if there are unforeseen delays by the airlines or something.
I suggest earlier the better even if you have to spend more to get an
earlier ticket, because US visa is anyway hard to get and she must make use of this one so it will be easy for her to get future visas.

I-94 vailidity does not depend on the visa validity. Your mother can
request a 6 month stamp at entry saying she is coming for the first time and
will like to see a lot of the US and spend time with her family in US.
