  • B2 Visa Brother Application Doubt

    Hi,

I recently graduated and started working full time. My parents and my brother are planning to come to USA for my graduation ceremony. I have already sent them a scanned copy of invitation letters from my university. I still have some doubts.

    1. Is a photograph not mandatory now for DS160, since we book a separate appointment for the fingerprinting and photograph and the DS160 says photo will be taken at the ASC?

    2. My brother is in final year of his undergraduate studies in hotel management, he has a job offer already. The problem is that his visit maybe for four days in between his practicals and final exams. So is it fine if I book his interview along with my parents (as a family application) whose stay will be longer than my brother. Also what are the chances of my brother getting a visa?

    3. Reading the forum I came to know that it is better if my parents show themselves as sponsors as it increases the chances of acceptance. please correct me if I am wrong. Also should my parents be the sponsor for my brother also or should it be me?

My dad works for a private multinational and mom is a government employee.

I want to book an appointment by this weekend, a prompt reply will be much appreciated.

    Thanks

pic will be taken by them , applicants do not need to send any pic with the form
Bro's chances may not be great as he is young and single and just starting out in life. So you can leave him out as
that way he will act as a tie for your parents to come back to.
self funding is always better but one must have good income for that. Like 10-12 lacs per year.

RE: B2 Visa Brother Application Doubt

      Thanks peace99.

I want to give a shot at visa for my brother. But I am scared that will that in anyway hamper chances of my parents?

Also I am planning to book the visa date between 17-22 April at New Delhi consulate and the itinerary states the travel starting at 9th May, can this be a problem?
