Hi,

A friend of mine have visa B2 and already exceeded the six months in USA. He planning to get married with his girlfriend whenever they get ready.
My questions are:

1. Can he open a bank account his passport?

By the time they get ready for the petition;

2. It will affect his case on a negative way because he opened a bank account before fixing or changing his status?

3. Do you think is a good idea opening a bank account to save money on his case?

is he marrying a US citizen? yes, he can open an account and it won't matter if he opens an account. After marriage he should open a joint account with her.

He doesn't have a date to get married yet, could be this year or in 3 years.
I just want to know if having a bank account will affect his case with immigration when they start the petition process.

No it won't affect.

He is already out of status, it cannot get any worse by opening a bank account.
