  • Single sister and brother for B2 visa

    Hi everyone,
    Both me and my husband are us citizens i Am not working right now but my husband is a physician and he wants to sponsor both my brother and sister for B2 visa so they can visit us in summer my brother is 28 year old single lawyer who has been denied a tourist visa two months ago , my sister is 24 single in her last year in college who got a B2 visa previously and visited us three times and each time she stayed for three months my questions are:
    Does my sister has a chance of getting the visa again
    Does my brother has any chance of getting a visa ?!!the only thing that changed in his application was the sponsorship the first time he sponsored himself but they did not ask him about any documents and now my husband is sponsoring him
    Which is better a family appointment or an individual appointment and in case of family appointment does the previous rejection of my brother affect my sister chance ?
    Appreciate your help .

    need more details;

    1.circumstances of your bro's denial; the things he wrote on the form; purpose of visit,duration of visit, personal income?
    2.About your sister's visa; when did it expire? month /yr of each of her 3 visits? What was your visa status when she got the visa?

      When my sister got the visa I was a green card holder she came to help me with my toddler twin and a baby she came sep 2010 stayed 3 months , and august 2011 for 3 moths , and august 2012 for 3 month , her visa was expired on sep 2012
      For my brother previous application, the reason for coming to US was to visit me and my family he was intended to stay for 2 months during summer time , his monthly average salary about 1500 US dollars and he is engaged and he mentioned that in the application

      Thanks

        before 9/11 attacks on US, if one visited US like your sister did, you were almost guaranteed to get a new visa without interview. But now everything is changed;
        even people who have visited so many times without breaking any rules, are being denied. Being young and single with a US citizen sister in US are negatives.
        Her past usage of the visa is a big positive . So it all depends on the officer and her luck.

        About your brother, he was likely denied because he was young and single, ( engaged does not matter) even though he was earning well by Indian standards.
        I suggest he should apply after he is married.
