Need help regarding birth certificate !!!pls.

I came to know..per new rules, sponsor birth certificate is MUST while applying visa for parents. I do not have birth certificate.

Always, we used to show high school certificate or mark sheet as proof of age hencee neever needed. Pls. guide me what alternative doc can be shown in embassy.

I just see 1 response in forum that you may get birth certificate from Indian emassy here based on the paasport. Is it TRUE ?

regrrding birth certificate i too do not have one, so i wrote to vfs asking wat to do they told better to have onece since it is recommended document...., so now trying to get one by march since mom interview at that time any how i will also be needing it here in future for green card process....so nowe getting it.

also birth certificate is issued by indian consualte based on passport is true, u have to fill in application and submit it with passpot with some fees of 10$ but it is not useful for green card process, how far it is useful for visitors visa i dont know ......................

I have tried to ask VFS several times the question 'what if birth certificate is not available?'

And they are just sending canned replies listing the documents required and that lists all the documents for visitor visa including birth certificate.

That does not answer the original question. We are continously trying.
