Canadians needing US visitor Visa's

A canadian does not need a vistor visa to stay in the US for up to 90 days,
but what if they want to stay longer? like say.... 6 months, for leisure purposes.

Is there any visa that will allow them to work for this period, and what visa would they apply for if they were going to bring enough money to support themselves for this stay over 90 days?

I cant find this information anywhere... :S

If you want to stay in US for over 90 days, you have to apply for visitor visa before coming to US. Same procedure for everyone. Read https://www.immihelp.com/usa-visas/visitor

However, if you want to work, you have to apply for TN visa.
