I have B2 Visa I wish to continue my bachelor program here in United States I mean I want to change my Visa status to F1 please give me instructions on this issue that how I can change my B2 to F1 ?

You cannot change your visa class from one to another. If you wish to study in the US then you need to apply for a F1 visa.

B2 visa was issued to you only for tourism purpose and that will remain valid till the mentioned date on your visa.

I dont agree to that statement. The form I539 is intended for the same. http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/f...urces/C2en.pdf

This is my opinion not legal advice.

Yeah, you can change your status from b2 to f1 legally. Inorder to change your status you need to fill out I-539 form and checkout USCIS website for the remaining documents to be sent. Minimum processing time is 3 months. You can stay legally if your visitor visa expires untill unless your process is done. But, my best suggestion is to leave the country and apply for student visa and get back to USA.

Yes, it is legal to apply for a change of visa status once you're in the U.S. A U.S. consular officer overseas wouldn't like it, because it's an abuse of the tourist visa, but once you're in the States you can apply for a different type of visa. But it makes you kind of a thorn in their side, and it takes a long time, as the US immigration system is an old-fashioned European-style bureaucracy. So as another poster mentioned, better to obtain an I-20, then leave the country to return with an F-1 visa issued outside the country.
