  • Applying For Visitor Visa and Sponsoring

Hello, I am permanent resident in USA and I am sponsoring my sister inlaw for visitor visa who is 24, unmarried and works as a skin therapist. She will be going to Delhi Consulate for Visa Interview. I have sent her all documents from my side for sponsor. I will be taking care of her all expense. I have told her to get her bank statement and education certificates with her to the interview. I wanted to know if there is anything else she should carry along, and if I am sponsoring her, will she need to show her bank statements to support her trip and what will be the minimum balance she should have. And if there are any questions asked there, anyone aware of that may help her.

    Thank you.

why do you want to go for a K3 , it takes time and is cumbersome and defeats the purpose it is meant for.

Just wait for the real immigrant visa (CR-1 visa) at home country ( the country address that was mentioned for you in I-130 )

If she is a skin therapistthen she can also get a work visa easily. I will recommend you to instead of visiting visa go for a work visa. For an interview, she needs to carry all his education and legal documents so that they can easily start the procedure.

there is no such thing as sponsorship for B2 visa applicants..any papers she brings that relates to you and your situation will not be considered...period. B2 applicants are adjudicated on the strength (or weakness) of their own situation, not by others' bank accounts or promises...there is NO legally binding agreement you can make with her regarding expenses, etc....Being single, in a very portable job, likely earning very little, her chances of success are slim indeed. There is no work visa for 'skin therapists'....as far as some ***** bank balance, well, if she has little in the bank, how will that dramatically change in a short time, legitimately? you putting money in her account will be painfully obvious. Education certificates do not prove a lack of immigrant intent, nor can they control the actions of a visa holder....again, anything from you is not even window dressing...nothing you write or send will even be looked at because whatever you own does not transfer to her under any circumstances, except possibly in your will. No third party can do or say or provide anything on behalf of a B2 applicant that can make a case better....it can only worsen a person's chances, not improve it.
