  • B2 Visitor travel documents/POE when traveling with his sponsor.

What are the documents a B2 visitor needs to carry when he is traveling into US with his sponsor?

What might be the queries at POE? Does he need to carry I-134 at POE?

Also, the sponsor had his H1 when he sponsored the B1/B2 visa, and now his status is GC. Does this affect the B1/B2 visa he sponsored?

    Please advise.

nothing required. they won't look at the I-134 or the sponsor details.

they will just ask you the purpose and duration. answer precisely as 'visiting xxx relative for xxx weeks.'

carry sponsor's home address and phone no. handy, just in case they ask.

when the officer stamps your passport , check that it is stamped B2 (visitor) and date of expiry of your stay is stamped.

Myself. the sponsor will be traveling along with him, but at POE will be on a different queue as a permanent resident.

He would not be able to give my phone number, at this time. So the query, what happens if the sponsor is traveling along with the visitor.

Is it required to provide the sponsor's address and phone OR can he provide a different address and contacts? Please advise.

they do not ask for contact address and phone no. in routine. I said if they ask, he can give your contact even if you are traveling with him. and can say you are traveling with him.It is NOT a problem.
